So I decided as an avid foody to start this blog to review local food and their service. I will also write about retail service. The closest "big" city to me is Watertown, SD. I will blog a lot about places in and around that area.
Well, here goes! First post!

Mid afternoon
Buffalo Wild Wings, Watertown, SD
I went to meet a friend to chat and have a late lunch. I arrived at 2:36 pm. She had already been there for about 10 minutes. We sat and chatted and waitress wizzed by us, although the restaurant was pretty empty. There were maybe 10 other tables at this time. We continued to chat and were fully ignored by wait staff. After I waited 20 minutes and my friend 30. I went to the hostess and asked for a manager to come over. It was the general manager and he was friendly and then we had service quickly. He apologized for the service. Now, mind you this is not the first time we have had horrible service in the same restaurant! Food was hot when it was brought out and the wait from order to table was not to bad. Although the wings sauce seemed as if it was clumped on the boneless wings and not evenly distributed. The fries were hot and so were the fried pickles. The waitress that did take over our table did ok. She only check back once and seemed "put off" by having to take our table. After receiving our food the manager came over and we spoke about the service. He said that it was a shift change and the waitress assigned to our table had left without letting the new waitress know we were waiting. Total breakdown of communication. We talked about how Watertown is not a "service" town. I have done everything in a restaurant so I know what it take. You work your tail off for those tips. But, it seems that most waitress expect you to tip and that it is not at all for their service. The constant rotating of new hires is unbelievable! We did say we would come back and he promised better service. We will see, I am not very optimistic about this one!
